All Requirements must be met on, or before, the Initiation Ceremony at the end of each semester.
Requirements
At least 15 Service hours. Up to 6 of these hours can be from non-APO service events.
Complete 5 hours of Fellowship, from at least 3 events with the fraternity.
Complete 2 Fundraising events with the fraternity.
Complete 2 Interchapter events with the fraternity.
Interview actives and fellow pledge brothers
Additionally, as a pledge class you will need to plan 1 service event, 1 fundraiser, and at least 1 fellowship...these events will count towards your overall requirement.
You will be required to attend a weekend retreat that will take place During the semester(Spring '06 is February 10-12). Exemptions from this retreat will be dealt with on a case by case basis, but really you won't want to miss this retreat because it's a lot of fun, and a great way to meet and bond with fellow pledges and actives!
Wear your service pin to all events.
If you are unable to make an event you have signed up for, you must notify the chair of that event 24 hours before that event. Failure to do so will result in a deduction of hours from your amount of service hours.
Throughout the pledge process there will be 2 (possibly 3) quizzes covering information concerning the history of the fraternity, and then your final board which will cover all the things you've learned in throughout the semester.
Expectations
Attend as many meetings as possible.
Meet with and interview with Actives (introduce yourself).
Help introduce others on campus to Alpha Phi Omega
